BAM grids are provided assembled! We are able to do this by using a perimeter profile to hold the muntins in place. When your BAM shipment arrives simply remove from the packaging, prepare for installation by applying tape or pre-drilling screw-holes, and install.

This terminology indicates that 2 grids will be provided for each opening. One grid for the exterior and one for the interior.

No, BVB does not provide the screws

BVB Products does not supply tape. We suggest contacting a reseller such as Tom Brown Inc. tape products for tape and recommendations.

Bump-ons are clear silicone beads with a 5/16” diameter and 3/32” height. Bump-ons are self-adhesive, just peel one off of the sheet and press it onto the back of your BAM grid. We provide them with every Snap-In and Screw-Applied BAM order to keep the grids off of the glass.

You can order stock lengths of muntin material. This is available in 16-foot lengths. It should be noted though this is not a cost effective way to produce medium and large projects as the field labor is much higher to install lineal material.

We do not provide stock lengths of perimeter material. These profiles allow us to provide fully assembled grids, and we prefer to keep the associated labor in house.

A notable exception to this rule is Mock-Up grids which we typically provide knocked down to keep shipping costs low. These grids do need to be assembled upon receipt

Absolutely! Custom shapes we typically see are arched units and starbursts, and we’re always happy to take a look at your drawings. We do have some practical limitations such as minimum radii.

Just keep in mind that these specialty units require extra attention which will be reflected in the lead time and cost.

Absolutely! Just provide the measurement from the edge of the daylight opening to the muntin centerline and we’ll do the rest.

We do not recommend pairing BAM with between-the-glass grids. Since BAM installs over internal muntins, it removes their value.

The back side of BAM grids are finished the same as the front. So, from the back you’ll see the finished base of the grids and the clear bump-ons that keep the grid off of the glass. If you use any tape for installation, this will also be visible.

Over half of our projects utilize a single-sided application suggesting that most people find the aesthetics acceptable.

As we have minimum orders with our finishers and suppliers, projects under 10 or so grids sometimes have an elevated cost per grid. In these situations, we do try to see what we have on hand from other projects that we can use to help lower our input costs but this can't be guaranteed.
